PTSD isnt a one size fits all thing though. Object fear tends to be over stated in fandom because we all like it as a fandom trope but people don't all have the same reaction. Tony associates gibbs's shiny belt with Gibbs and has done long before Jordan came along. One could say the same about The collar Jake forces on him in the first collar - that he'd have a life long fear of collars but clearly not everyone fixates in that way every time a bad thing happens. I fell down my garden steps and broke my leg but I don't have a phobia about them or about steps generally. Life isn't that cut and dried.
