although Rodney wasn't quite eating out of his hand yet, he was definitely twining around his ankles and wrapping his tail around John's leg Is a fabulous image *g*
And I loved General Sheppard's instructions to John. Beautiful.
No…just…this is a date isn't it? I'm only asking because otherwise, what you're doing with your hands…seems wildly inappropriate, Colonel. - Trust Rodney to not be entirely sure (it only adds to his cuteness (as I'm sure John would agree) *g*
And there I stop quoting, because I realise I'm going to end up repeating half the fic, there are so many great bits in this bit. OK, so it's not got the sex *g*, but the melancholy of the last part as Rodney goes through what he's been left and imagines what he could have is lovely.
Can't wait 'til tomorrow morning! (Hopefully - I leave early and am having a 50/50 success rate on getting my fix before I go;P)
