Can I say each section gets better? Stupid question I know because the answer is resolutely yes.
Been sniffling through these last 2 sections - but then I knew kleenex would be needed with this story from the start.
Ellis is the classic bully, brave when armed or in a group but a wimp when unarmed and on his own, begging for mercy before he's hit.
Walid is the classic superficial excessively richman who needs extreme situations to produce any impact on his permanent ennui with life and himself. Getting hurt would only faze him if his expensive lifestyle were affected in anyway. He really is a cold fish, but then Gibbs knows that too.
Tony left with Ellis not nice, but he's a survivor because he always has to have the last word whatever the situation - fury and anger don't dominate him like Gibbs, he's more wily. The true court jester, the one who makes people laugh while telling them hometruths because they can't see behind the smoke and mirrors, except for the odd few like Gibbs and Hurrell's wife. I think even Walid underestimates him, which gives him an advantage albeit slight; besides Tony's at his best when all the odds are stacked against him like now. So despite that nasty cliffy, and the fact I shall be on tenterhooks until I read what happens I'm confident in Tony's ability to come up trumps albeit a little battered, just so he can stick his tongue out at the baddies and make Gibbs smile.
And I'll finish before I ramble more. This is definitely your best story to date, you excel yourself with each new story.
