Rodney gazed at him steadily for a moment, and then realisation hit and John was surprised to see a sudden burst of sheer naked hurt flash into the scientist's eyes. I could just see Rodney doing his woobie face, his crooked lips pulled tight.
"Oh god," Rodney Sheppard said in an undertone to his husband. "Honestly, it's painful to watch sometimes."
"Ssh," his husband replied. "They'll figure it out." it is extremely possible that I'm falling in love with AU John and Rodney.
And in our universe we like to wear collars and leashes and have constant sex with tubloads of lube. I laughed so hard when I read that - I woke my dog up.
"I think it is very romantic," Teyla said. "You must love each other very much." yeah - Teyla says what we're all thinking.

I'm not going to quote, because seriously, I'd be quoting pages here - but I adsolutely adored the hurt/comfort in this installment. The entire exchange between John and Rodney when John started holding him and talking to keep him awake. I am still a huge puddle of goo after reading this. And then Toppy!Carson making an appearance when John wouldn't leave the infirmary *squirms*
again, the interaction between John and the General was just stellar. I can just see John freaking out from emotional overload and plus you know I'm obsessed with how AU John and Rodney got together. I love that the General made John realize how much Rodney blames himself and how guilty he feels when something goes wrong.
finally, I love how John apologized and Rodney started preening - he so IS a cat! plus, *wibble* the crooked little smile
