Thank you. And actually, without seeming totally big headed, I agree. The "homage" fic that was written after I posted "Coming Home" was intended to show the universe (and me) in a poor light. But that story was so judgemental and so clearly written by someone who knew absolutely nothing about BDSM sex that it set my teeth on edge. Of course that didn't stop it being massively popular in that section of fandom - but then they are a judgemental bunch of people and they want their fics to reflect that. What frustrated them in part was my neutral author's voice which they then took as me advocating this universe. It wasn't, and I don't. The universe just IS, just as our universe IS. Some bits are bad and some are good. If BDSM!Rodney went on about how great his universe is it's because it's HIS and it's all that he knows and he is an outspoken person. He's not talking for ME.
I've noticed this in other stories too where I've had a character say something in character but against someone else - that's not ME talking. You'd be hard pushed to know my personal views on ANYTHING from reading my stories, trust me. And some would, I'm sure, come as quite a surprise *g*.
