Thank you, thank you, thank you SO much for this! I really don't read anyone else's take on the BDSM-verse now because they don't match the vision I had of it, and in some notable cases make a travesty of the whole thing which upsets me. I can't stop people writing their own versions but it does feel weird to think I invented a whole genre of fanfic! I saw someone the other day saying they were going to write the "fandom trope" of the bisexual BDSM universe and I thought "Since when did it become a fandom trope?!!!" I invented it, lots of other people have now played in it - that makes it a trope? LOL!
