I've just really learned of this whole 'verse (via some awesome stories based on your 'verse), but this:

I also prefer to use an extra ‘s’ to denote possession after a name ending in ‘s’ – e.g: Gibbs’s rather than Gibbs’. This is personal preference – both are grammatically correct.

...has endeared you to me forever. I learned that bit of grammar in sixth grade (in the US) and it irks the shit out of me to see "Gibbs'", even though it's technically correct, because it sounds like something belonging to two or more people named Gibb. :P
