Huh - I've just never heard anyone say that. I guess after 10 years, I still learn something new about fandom every day :)
(My totally unwarranted advice if you're concerned about posting the whole thing at once, is that in future you might post a fic in parts on LJ and in its entirety on your web page - Although, as the author, I completely respect your authority in deciding how and where to publish - this was just a thought if you were looking for options).
