Brilliant, simply brilliant. The scene with Ziva was perfect :-) I loved that she just waited for him to start speaking, I love that she'd already started to put two and two together and was getting four, I loved the interaction between them about Eli and best of all, there was no stupid, grafted-on, fabricated and utterly pointless UST *g* They were two friends/colleagues with something to discuss - and her reaction was perfect. I could hear the menace in her words and I would think it would be something part of Tony enjoyed hearing, even if he'd never want her to do anything outside the law. Loved all the scenes between Tony and Jethro. Poor McGee, first he doesn't know what to say or do and then he nearly gets throttled - this is just not his case. As is often the case with your stories, the title is telling. Demons is about more than the memories of the three men, it's about more than Tony's own personal demon (Tonio), it's also about Gibbs' demons and how both men are tackling them. To a lesser extent, McGee has his own "Don't know what to say or do" demon which he is going to have to slay sometime. Abby seems demon-free, although I suspect everyone involved in the case - up to and including Vance - have gained some demons who will haunt their dreams. It's very, very clever writing - your stories are always well-constructed, well-paced and contain lots of internal links. This one is no exception. It's also a joy to read, despite the very harrowing subject-matter. Looking forward to more already :-)
