Yeah it is. :) I just loved that whole scene in the show, especially when McKay said "I thought we were going with Gateship?" and then put them on standby whilst he turned to explain to Elizabeth about why they called it Gateship... he seemed quite put out that exquisite logic of the name had just been tossed aside with little to no appreciation for that fact. :)
Thanks for explaining re: why John didn't say anything to Ford about his comments to Rodney and that makes sense, it was a pretty happy occasion, and him going all growly would have definitely dampened the mood... and yeah, I've now read that chapter and I loved the Rodney and Ford moments in that. :)
...It IS a disappointment to him. I wanted to represent the dissenting view of their society. There's no reason why everyone should conform to the norm.
Ahh, I think I get what you're saying. In the sense that Radek doesn't get the whole BDSM deal and is a little disappointed that Rodney has 'fallen into the trap' of their society?
Poor Radek - I do love him so much.
Yeah, me too. :) I'm dreading the moment when he gets killed off... but then again, I didn't like it when Peter got killed off in the show either. :(
LOL re the ZPM! That sounds exactly like something Rodney would suggest!

*Grins* I love that you said that!
