I was thinking about Rodney - how much like him is to be sure, he's supposed to handle the whole situation by himself. Not only because it was private and - in this particular universe - embarrassing he couldn't fight off unwanted top. But (and I hope I'm reading it right), also because if he was a genius, he should handle ALL. Add the lack of trust, especially towards military, Rodney's insecurities and you have recipe for disaster.
Now I'm looking forward to the part when John starts courting Rodney. Yes, I'm ridiculously romantic, so sue me *g*.
