Author’s Notes: This story is forwintermute_ljwho made the winning icon in the Tony category. When I looked at it the things I thought of were a) stubble and b) prison. I have no idea why! But I decided to just go with it.
Summary: His clothes feel strange against his skin after three years wearing prison overalls, but the sky is blue and the sun is shining – it’s a good day to start a new life.
