I really liked your "out of the closet" comment. That's the main appeal for me - I don't have to have the characters freaking out about being gay or bi or into BDSM - which means I can focus on other things.

As for the locker rooms - this society doesn't have many hang ups about nudity so I'd envisage younger kids sharing locker rooms until puberty. It might even be a bit of a rite of passage when you realise your orientation and go, rather self-consciously, into the appropriate locker room rather than the junior, communal one. Everyone would start talking about you and how you'd found your orientation *g*. Switches would just choose one I suspect - and non-dynamics would pretend as for the most part I think they're a bit ashamed of the way they don't fit in.

And YES to the working in an office thing! It sometimes is painfully obvious that the writers on the show don't have a clue about that - the secret santa thing springs to mind. But as I've sat through the recruitment process on far too many occasions to count *g*, I really knew my stuff there, even if I adapted it to fit this universe and the NCIS setting.
