The only reason you should possibly apologise for rambling is that it will only encourage me!
I am absolutely fascinated by plotting, in general, mostly because it's such a huge weakness of mine - that and using far too many adjectives that usually mean the same thing! You might not want to give your writing secrets away, which I would completely understand, but if not, I was wondering: do you build your fics up around an idea, or around scenes, if that makes sense? Like, I tend to think of a scene, then think about what context that scene could be in, and then try to vaguely plot around that. I've just had an idea which leaves me to kind of plot it, without any scenes in my head to start with, and I'm pretty flummoxed. Also, do you plan yours out with notes, scene by scene, or do you write it all first and then edit and shift and change things?
LOL, I'm always guilty of using three words that mean the same thing, like petrified, terrified, scared!
I loved the staged out reveal of Tony's secrets, the way they were built up, and I think the dossier one might have been my favourite because I remember reading the scene with Gibbs and Ziva the first time round and literally thinking I couldn't last out until the secret of that was revealed, I was on complete tenterhooks!
