Ooh like Tony being undercover as a marine. I had an idea for a h/c story where Gibbs is injured and Tony has to step up and make all the decisions and get them both to safety. In the process showing Gibbs he can do it and proving to himself that he's up to it as well. I really think this is something the SHOW should do though. Bounce was a step BACK in my view as we'd seen Tony being perfectly competent during Gibbs's Mexican sabbitical and he led the team perfectly well then. I long for them to step up Tony's character and have Gibbs really see him as a peer. I like funny!Tony - don't get me wrong - but I don't see why we can't have him be funny but also more mature and more of an equal for Gibbs. Any ep where Tony gets in Gibbs's face works well for me. I'd like to see Gibbs trusting and going to Tony instead of Fornell and Franks. It irritates me that it doesn't happen.
