Yay to daily posting and answering questions! *G* And ::blushes:: at 'stellar feedback' }:=8)

'Oh weak willed one', heh -- that's just your talent at writing unavoidable fic *G*

*Nods* I figured you might not know about the cascade effect. I wouldn't worry about it; it is an extremely annoying inconvenience for those oh-so-wonderful QDD plots and deserves to be ignored. The programme makers should have known better than to put such an extreme kibosh on further storylines! Did you even know about the SG Quantum Mirror or is this a case of parallel original thinking?

Here's a thought: it was actually a different group of aliens that came up with the Quantum Mirror in Stargate. Maybe they were copying it from the Ancients and didn't get it quite right. So the Atlantis QDD works properly! I like 'QDD' too, much more scientific term than 'mirror' (although that is what the Milky Way device looks like).

You could put this in your disclaimer, or you could even (if you felt like it) edit a small insert to have AU Rodney (who already figured out the device) explain this to Elizabeth, who would be concerned for the AU visitors (she'll have read the SG-1 reports). Lemme know if you want an in-detail explanation of the SG-1 mirror canon, but as I say, it's only a technical point and well worth ignoring for the plot to work. Hey, maybe in your version of the universes, there is no entropic cascade failure :)
