I was glad to see this is a WIP, because reading this chapter generated so many questions about the alternate universe you're creating. If there are no jails and only the top can punish a bottom, does that mean everyone is paired to another person upon reaching a certain age that's considered "adult" and parents discipline until then? Does a person who is only 18 or 21 know if they are a top or bottom at that young age? Does a person ever change roles if a spouse dies and they remarry? Is divorce allowed? What about abusive spouses - surely they would use being a top as a license to beat the hell out of their spouse at every opportunity? If a top's job determines who his/her disciplinary top is, then what about the unemployed? or does this planet earth have full employment?

I'll look forward to answers to these qustions and more as you continue the story.
