Part of my thinky thoughts from yesterday (before my brain fried due to lack of sleep) was how different Gibbs and Skinner are as Doms. While they're both extremely strong and uncompromising in their own ways, Gibbs still has a part of him that's unsure and clearly thinks that Tony might bolt on him because everyone else has left him before.
Then there's Tony's attention issues which have been loud and clear since the beginning. For him it's not about not caring if he lives or dies, but about pain (and possibly even death) being a more appealing alternative to being ignored.
For tomorrow, I have all my nails trimmed so I can't bite them while reading and will have angst supplies at the ready!
