That's just it! For me, Gibbs is a natural top, he's just... he has this authority thing going for him. And Tony is always so submissive so yeah, usually Gibbs on the bottom doesn't work for me. So I'm very glad in this case it did because it couldn't have been any other way. You made it work because it had to be that way. But that's just the thing: many people don't get the hang of it to write Gibbs bottoming in a believable way. For me, anyway. And you did, which makes you a great writer in my eyes (but I think I said that before, didn't I?)
I think you're right, about Gibbs. After letting Tony in emotionally, it wasn't that much of a big deal for him to let Tony into his body as well. You know, I think this story might be the only one where I can see Gibbs bottoming regularly, for his and Tony's sake.
But enough on that issue, it's not the main focus of the fic after all.
I really am glad that you wrote Tony's dad the way you wrote him. I mean, I get why fandom makes him out to be a grad A bastard but really, any child being neglected would portray their parents to be like that. It doesn't necessarily mean they are grade A bastards. They just made mistakes or were unaware of being that neglectful. So yeah, I'm glad you wrote him like that.
*lol* Well, I had to do something while reading this. It just made my skin crawl. And the thought that child abusers in real life mostly think like that too... it just creeps me out.
I can't wait for the last part! I guess we'll come back to Parrish. I didn't mention this before but now I have to: every time I read the name "Parrish" I think of sweet and innocent botanist!Parrish from SGA and go all, "But NO! He could NEVER do this!" Erm... just a little blurb on the side.
