He'll be suffering the repercussions of this for the rest of his life. It was so good to hear Tony acknowledge that he *did* neglect him. That had to have been difficult. Kids protect their parents and, emotionally, Tony is, in many ways, still 12 years old. That was a huge leap for him; a healthy leap.
The one-man wrecking crew would have been... wrong. Might have been satisfying in a way, but what you've done here is show a far more complex situation without the cardboard cutouts too often found in fic. MUCH more satisfying. Cheap frozen pizza vs the best delivery of your choice. ;-) The frozen can do the trick from time to time, but given the choice, I'll take Papa John's over Totino's any day of the week. :-)
