Yeah - it's going to take a long time for Tony to heal - and I suspect he's always going to be damaged to a certain extent but at least he's handling the problems now instead of avoiding them.

Glad you liked the dad bit - I don't think he's a bad guy but he did really fuck up. I didn't want it to be a one dimensional fic with no basis in reality where Gibbs got to go on a one man killing spree, taking out the abusers and the dad with the power of his mighty vengeance (and gun!). People are more complicated than that and Daddy DiNozzo had his own problems and sadnesses. Which doesn't excuse him *at all* but he knows that.
