This is the second time I read this story and I just felt like I had to come here and say thank you for writing this. I don't usually reread fanfics but this one is going to stick with me for a long time.

I don't know where to start, really. It made me cry and laugh and nearly cry again and then laugh some more - it's pure delight put in so many words.

The part about NCIS women getting killed was painful and sad to read but also had a very true ring to it. (BTW, this time around I've noticed you left out any mention of Jenny's death. Was it done accidentally or on purpose? The only reason I ask, really, is that I've been re-watching seasons 5 and 6 recently and the whole thing is still fresh in my memory. Other than that I can't say I ever really cared for her).

In fact, the whole set up of the story taking place in not-the-closest future is the one that pushes my button best. The comparisons between Gibbs's team and Tony's are maybe my favourite bittersweet moments of the story. And the moment when Tony and McGee are forced in the field together again, well, it's brilliant.

I loved McGee's voice throughout the story, and Gibbs's, Tony's and Ducky's when they speak - the dialogs sounds just like it was taken out of the script. Louis is absolute love - truly an Abby's son.

I loved Tony crashing in the Director's office when he's drunk and the talk between him and McGee. The scene where Tony explains to him the kind of relationship he's got Gibbs is absolutely brilliant and so is the one with the proposal. They're very different in tone and atmosphere but both very-very warm. And all the little hints that McGee misses at first... just loved all that.

One of the other things I loved (see above about re-watching the two latest seasons) is that little detail about Tony being very tactile and needing to be touched, even provoking Gibbs into giving him all these headslaps. Maybe it's just me but I've never really thought about it or noticed it until I saw that scene in "Knockout" - you know, the one where Gibbs slaps Tony up the head and Tony breaths out: "Physical contact!" - but you've written the story before the episode even aired! This is really awesome. Honest.

Okay, I could ramble like that for a lot longer because every scene, every episode of your story has at least one something that made me squee and laugh and cry while reading but I'm afraid I'll tire you with all that. And anyway my English is starting to give up, so I'll just thank you once again for the brilliant story and the brilliant way you told it. It's really one of the best fics I've read. Ever.
