Wow! What an intense chapter! So much happened that it's hard to wrap your brain around it all. The punishment scene. Gah! So touching and sad! Rodney really, really needed that, but I felt for John having to let him just walk away.

And the part when John catchs Bates. Thank god! I hope that is the end of the Bate's threat, but he is a sneaky little bastard.
